On November 1, an event titled DGIST Cultural Day was held at E15(the outdoor amphitheater). This event was a collaboration between the DGIST International Student Association (DISA) and the International Affairs Team (IAT). It aimed to celebrate the diversity within the DGIST community.
This event featured ▲food and drinks booths (▲Republic of Korea ▲Ghana ▲Iran ▲Vietnam ▲Turkey) ▲stages (▲band (DGIST RGB) ▲vocals (▲Ghana ▲Nigeria ▲India ▲Bangladesh ▲Brazil ▲Indonesia) ▲dances (▲India ▲Vietnam)). Additionally, there was an opportunity to wear traditional clothing from various countries, complemented by a cultural runway showcasing the diverse attire present at DGIST.
As a space for cultural exchange embracing the diverse cultures and ethnicities of more than 100 international students, Cultural Day successfully took its first step this year.
DISA expressed gratitude to the audience who attended despite the harsh weather conditions. They hoped that the attendees enjoyed this event. DISA and the IAT also announced that this will be a regular annual event from this year and will continue to encourage active student participation.
Highlights from the event can be found on DGIST’s official Instagram (@dgist_korea).
