Education to prevent sexual harassment and violence will be held for two days on the 11th and the 12th. This lecture is mandated by state law. This education will be delivered to undergraduate and graduate students under the theme of ‘gender equality and sexual harassment’ starting at 4 p.m. at the E7 L29. The attendance will be confirmed through an electronic attendance system. Considering the students' classes schedule, the sessions will be held on the 11th and 12th with the same content. However, the education will be conducted in Korean.
According to Article 5 of the Act on Prevention of Sexual Violence and the Protection of Victims, DGIST should ▲ provide education for sexual violence prevention, ▲ prepare its own preventive guidelines for protecting victims and preventing sexual assault damage, ▲ and establish measures to prevent recurrence in case of incidents. In addition, sex crimes prevention education should include the contents related to ▲ sexual awareness, ▲ sexual crimes laws to prevent sexual violence and ▲ healthy values for sex etc.
On the other hand, an official from the student team said, "As sexual harassment and violence prevention education is mandated by state, many students are encouraged to participate."
